Hi there, I'm glad the review helped. I spent a lot of time trying different [old & new] distros on that Lenovo RS110 hardware... We ended up using the HP Proliant DL320 Server (fully-supported, including hardware RAID with HP Smart Array E200, on Ubuntu Server 8.04 LTS 32/64-bit out-of-the-box), which is actually listed on Ubuntu's certified/supported hardware page. I've never been a hard-core HP fan-boy, but the box has been very stable & reliable. There is one caveat: they require you to buy their hard-disk drives to get their hard-disk carriers -- I didn't mind after the nightmare we had with Lenovo's RS110. Just a suggestion: buy the cheapest, lowest disk drive they offer and swap it for a generic, higher-capacity drive (if required) -- we swapped them for 1TB disks.

We're currently running Zimbra Release 6.0.3_GA_1915.UBUNTU8_64 UBUNTU8_64 FOSS edition on this ProLiant with 4Gb of memory. This is easily supporting 150+ users with low load averages. Feel free to ask any other questions if you have any. I hope you find the hardware your looking for!

Thank you. You have saved my office some valuable time. If you would offer a recommendation (by e-mail) on which server to run Ubuntu Server 8.04 LTS, I would be even more grateful!
